    Letterform is the Melbourne strategy and copywriting studio of me, Rohan Trollope.

    I partner with creative agencies to shape brand stories with character.

    The strategy side of my work uses language to lay clear foundations, whether starting something new or refreshing a brand. That includes everything from positioning strategies to single taglines and tone-of-voice guides that keep everyone on the same page. The right name is also something I can help find.

    The copywriting side brings brand stories to life. I’ve written brochures, billboards and beer coasters. Wine bottles, wall graphics and websites far bigger than this one. My speciality is collaborating closely with designers to make sure the copy fits their vision, fits their word count, and tells their client’s story.

    ‘What do you read, my lord?’ Polonius asks Hamlet in Act II. ‘Words, words, words,’ replies the great Dane. I know what he means. There are so many words around us today, and with infinitely more produced by robots, they can lose their power. I’m fortunate to work with clients and creative partners who value the careful selection of words for impact. Despite the length of this page, I do believe less is more. More or less.

    Ideas into language, and language for design, is why I’m here.
